Description
TF 0442 - 0542 SILK WILLOUGHBY LONDON ROAD (West Side) 10/89 Pump G.V. II Pump. 1897, restored 1973. Limestone ashlar, slate and cast iron. Pump housing is in the form of a gabled wall with chamfered angles and overhanging ashlar copings with roll moulded finial. To the base is a small blocked 4 centred arched chamfered opening, now containing a cast iron lion head mask. Above is the pump handle and above again a rectangular slate tablet recording the construction of the pump in 1897 to the memory of the Rev. W.H.E. McKnight, M.A.. Listing NGR: TF0564842967
