Description

TF 0442 - 0542 SILK WILLOUGHBY GORSE LANE (South Side) 10/81 Fieldby House G.V. II House. Early C18 and late C18, altered C19 and C20. Coursed limestone rubble with ashlar quoins to rear range, red and yellow brick in Flemish bond with ashlar dressings to garden front. Pantiled roofs with raised stone coped gables, 2 red brick gable stacks. Parallel ranges plan. 2 storey 3 bay front with plinth and chamfered eaves course. Central double 6 panelled doors with traceried fanlight, wood panelled reveals and plain pilastered doorcase with open pediment. Flanked by single 2 light french windows with stained glass borders. To first floor are 3 plain sashes. All windows have segmental heads with keyblocks. Interior retains a stick baluster staircase with hardwood handrail, segmental alcove arch with moulded architrave and some plain girders. Listing NGR: TF0566842734
