Description

GREAT HALE LEAS ROAD TF 1443-1543 (west side) 11/45 Rookery Farmhouse II House. Early C19, altered mid C19. Red brick in Flemish bond, ashlar plinth, concrete tiled roof with raised stone coped gables, 2 gable stacks. Parallel ranges plan. 3 storey, 3 bay front with plinth and dogtooth eaves course. Central 6 panelled door with fanlight, wood panelled reveals, roll moulded wooden doorcase with console brackets supporting a leaded triangular hood. Flanked by single margin light sashes. To first floor are 3 similar windows, and to the second floor are smaller glazing bar sashes. All windows have cambered rubbed brick arched heads. To right side are pairs of margin light sashes to each floor and a half glazed door with a bordered light, covered by a wooden Gothick porch with periced quatrefoil spandrels and flat leaded hood. Interior retains 6 panelled doors and dogleg stick baluster stair with wreathed hardwood handrail. Listing NGR: TF1516443167
