TF 04 NW SOUTH RAUCEBY TOM LANE (East Side) 2/103 Lodge, gates and 27.9.83 railings to South Rauceby Hall II Lodge, gate and railings to South Rauceby Hall. 1877, in the Tudor taste, probably by William Burn for A. Peacock Wilson. Limestone ashlar, slate roofs with lead dressings and raised stone coped gables with vasiform finials. Wrought iron. Single double and triple funnelled octagonal ashlar ridge stacks with moulded cornices. Single storey 3 bay front having moulded cornice, plain parapet, vasiform finials and gable to left. To left a single canted bay with pierced balustrade and containing a cross mullioned window flanked by single transomed lights. To right is a further cross mullioned window and beyond is a transomed light. All windows have chamfered surrounds and ovolo moulded mullions. To right side is a rectangular bay containing a 4 light mullioned and transomed window. The attached gateway has a pair of wrought iron gates with lyre shaped panels flanked by single matching pedestrian gates, all supported by 4 rusticated square piers with moulded cornices and ball finials. Beyond to the right, a low wall with plinth supports an 8 bay screen fence with spear head points and terminates in square ashlar piers matching the rest. Listing NGR: TF0244446111
