Description

TF 04 NW SOUTH RAUCEBY Off RAUCEBY DROVE (East Side) 2/101 Farmbuildings at Hall Farm G.V. II Double covered crew yard and beasthouses. 1841, some C20 alterations. Coursed squared limestone rubble with ashlar quoins and dressings, slate roofs having raised stone coped gables to the front with moulded kneelers and ball finials. 2 storey irregular 7 bay front having 2 louvered windows with moulded cornices, 3 planked doors and 2 pairs of double planked doors, all under segmental arches. To the first floor are 5 boarded openings with segmental arched heads and key blocks. To the rear of the range is a 2 storey barn with waggon hovel under. It has a 2 storey irregular 5 bay front having off centre double planked doors beneath a segmental brick arch with to left a single planked door with segmental ashlar head. To right are 3 brick basket arched openings and beyond a further 2 bay waggon hovel with plain lintels and timber bay post. To first floor are pairs of louvered openings and planked openings with segmental brick heads, also a cross-shaped breather. The barn has a hipped soft wood through purlin roof. The crew yards have similar roofs supported on square ashlar piers. Listing NGR: TF0327045681
