Description
TF 10 NW WEST DEEPING CHURCH LANE (north side) 10/261 Sundial Cottage 30.10.68 (formerly listed under King Street) G.V. II House. Cl7 raised mid C18, altered C19, C20. Coursed limestone rubble with ashlar quoins and dressings, concrete tiled roof with stone coped gables, 2 gable ashlar stacks, the left hand one having paired shafts and cornice. 2 storey, 3 bay front with central C20 6 panelled door, with contemporary pilastered and pedimented doorcase, flanked by single C19 tripartite plain sashes and to first floor 2 similar windows. In the centre is a repositioned ashlar sundial with scrolls to all 4 sides, side scrolls contain the date 1719. In the roof 2 gabled dormers, 2 light casements with rendered cheeks.
