Description
SK 95 NE WELLINGORE THE GREEN 1/73 The Manor House (formerly listed under 23.8.67 Barn Lane) - II House. Early C18. Coursed limestone rubble with ashlar dressings. Pantile roof with ashlar coped gables and 3-brick gable stacks on ashlar bases. Flush ashlar quoins, plinth,first floor band and brick dentillated eaves. L-plan. 2-storey. 5-bay. Central doorway with 8-panel, double leaf door, and plain ashlar surround with staff mould. To the left 2-glazing bar sashes, and to the right a blocked opening and a large glazing bar sash. Above 5-glazing bar sashes, the central one retains its early C18 glazing bars. All the win- dows have plain ashlar surrounds with staff moulds. Interior, has contempo- rary turned baluster 3-flight staircase. Listing NGR: SK9810856653
