Description
SK 97 64 WADDINGTON HIGH STREET 3/40 Horse and Jockey Public House II Public House. C18 with C19 and C20 additions. Coursed rubble with pantile roof and red brick stacks, L-plan, built in 4 sections. Central section, 3 bay. Two storey, late C18, with modern door and side windows, 2 modern lattice casements with wooden lintels. Above one sash with white brick voussoirs. One sliding casement and one C19 casement. To the south earlier single-storey ectin with dormers and more steeply pitched roof, probably early C18 cottage originally. Below 2 modern lattice casements and C19 door all with wooden lintels. Two red brick dormers over eaves with sliding casements. To south again single-storey C20 extension, with casement window. To north of central section, early C19. Two-storey gable-ended extension, modern lattice casement below with wooden lintel, above C19 sash with brick voussoirs. Listing NGR: SK9755964322
