Description
SCOPWICK MAIN STREET: SCOPWICK TF 05 NE (north side) 5/48 Nos 97 to 103 (odd) 10.3.86 - II Farmhouse and attached cottage, now 4 dwellings. Mid and late C18 and early C19. Coursed limestone rubble with ashlar and brick dressings. Pantile roof with 3 ridge and 3 gable brick stacks. Flush ashlar quoins and brick dentil eaves. T-plan, 2 storey. East front, has 3 bay farmhouse to right, with central doorway now blocked by 2-light C19 casement. To the right a single 2-light glazing bar sliding sash, and to the left a partially blocked opening with a 2-light glazing bar sliding sash, under a large wooden lintel. Above 3 similar windows under wooden lintels. To the left and slightly advanced is the lower cottage, with a large C19, 3-light window and then 2 small fixed lights, and finally a 2-light sliding sash with glazing bars, under a segment brick head. Above 2 similar windows. The south front has a doorway to -the left with a half-glazed 4-panel door, undera wooden lintel, to the right are 2 glazing bar sashes, above 2 similar windows all with wooden lintels.
