Description
TF 1210-1310 MARKET DEEPING TOWNGATE EAST (north side) 12/184 2 barns and out- building at Towngate Farm G.V. II 2 barns and outbuilding. Late C18, restored 1892, altered C20. Coursed and banded limestone rubble, ashlar quoins. Collyweston slate, concrete tile and pantile roofs, raised stone coped gables. 2 barns are linked by vehicular opening. The left hand barn has a lowered roof covered with concrete tiles. Attached at right angles is a lower pantiled outbuilding with a plaque commemorating its restoration in 1892. The right hand barn has a pair of full height double doors and to the right an external flight of steps to granary over. Included for group value only. Listing NGR: TF1344710881
