Description
BECKINGHAM MAIN STREET SK 85 SE 5/15 The Rectory 23.8.67 II GV House. Early C18 remodelled early C19. Brick and render with ashlar dressings. Slate roof, with 4 gable and 2 ridge moulded stacks, and coped gables with kneelers. Plinth and a plain cill band to each floor, with rusticated quoins and moulded eaves band. Double range plan. 3 storey. North entrance front 3 bay with slightly projecting central bay topped with tall pediment. Gabled projecting ashlar porch with round headed arched entrance. Deep plinth, impost band and moulded hood band. Diamond plaque in gable flanked by single wooden cross windows with iron casements and moulded ashlar,surrounds, Above 3 similar windows, the central one with flat hood supported an brackets. Above again 3 similar slightly smaller windows. West garden front 3 bays with 2 canted bay windows on the ground floor and 3 windows above, with 3 smaller windows above again. All with wooden cross casements and moulded ashlar surrounds. Listing NGR: SK8756553680
