Description

WESTGATE 1. 1348 (North Side) No 56 TF 3287 2/57 2.11.54. II GV 2. Early C19. 3 storeys and basement in red brick, the centre of the front projecting. 3 windows to top 2 floors, narrow brick voussoirs, no glazing bars, separated oy stucco piers and with stucco entablature with guttae and wreaths over. Raised stucco panels placed vertically on set back portions of front with Graeco-Egyptian raised ornament. Centre window on 1st floor with architrave surround and cornice on brackets, narrow windows at sides. Top floor window with architrave surround and cill on brackets. Cornice and blocking course. Entrance set back at side with pilasters, entablature and anthemion panel. Good contemporary cast iron railings. NMR. Nos 44 to 66 (even) form a group with Nos 82 and 84. Listing NGR: TF3251787316
