Description
WESTGATE 1. 1348 (South Side) No 45 TF 3287 2/21 2.11.54. II GV 2. Circa 1700, L-shaped 3-storey brick house, steep modern tiled roof, eaves cornice. Central breakforward, stringcourse above ground floor. 5 windows, 2-1-2, hung sashes in wide wooden cases almost flush with the face, segmental heads, plain cills, glazing bars. 2nd floor windows are squat, 2 windows on 1st floor with one opening light. Original glazing bars are intact throughout, Later wooden doorcase, pilasters, triangular pediment broken over semi-circular head of doorway with fanlight, deep panelled reveals and soffit and 6-panelled door. Nos 25, 29 to 31 (odd), Westgate House, The Limes and Nos 43 to 47 (odd) form a group. Listing NGR: TF3258887333
