Description
ST MARY'S LANE 1. 1348 (South Side) No 63 (The Cedars) TF 3287 2/54 2.11.54. II 2. Early C19. Garden front stucco, 2 storeys, 5 sash windows, central 4-column Doric porch, triglyph frieze, cornice and blocking course. Plain eaves, hipped slate roof. Fine position on top of slope looking over the West end of Westgate. Side and rear elevations of similar general style, no special features. The house was the home of Charlotte Alington Barnard 1830-1869 (DNB) who under the pseudonym "Claribel" was the writer of 'Come back to Erin' and other popular songs. Listing NGR: TF3214987344
