Description
TF 11 SW BATON MAIN ROAD (east side) 6/24 Thetford House and barn II Farmhouse and barn. Early C18, extended mid C18 and early C19. Coursed limestone rubble with ashlar quoins and pecked dressings, red brick and render. Slate roof with stone coped gables, 2 gable ashlar stacks, red brick rear range, rendered C19 front addition with hipped Collyweston slate roof. 2 storey, 3 bay front, originally 5, the blocked openings can be seen. Having central C20 door, flanked by single C20 glazing bar windows. To first floor are 3 similar windows. All openings have C20 concrete lintels and pecked ashlar quoined reveals. To left a taller 2 storey, 2 bay C19 advanced wing with 2 tall glazing bar sashes to each floor. To the rear an altered red brick C18 wing and an attached barn with steeply pitched stone coped gabled Collyweston roof and 2 sliding double doors. In the roof 2 hipped dormers.
