Description
EASTGATE 1. 1348 (North Side) No 61 TF 38 NW 1/169 II GV 2. 1851. Elaborate building of 3 storeys, rendered. Blocking course. Cornice and dentil cornice with carved band below join gable terminals to 2 2-storey pilasters. 2 sets of plain pilasters beneath entablature between storeys. Rustication between pilasters on 1st floor. 3 windows, round moulded arches with triple keystones, hung sashes with marginal lights, panels beneath. 1st floor windows are plain. Modern shop front. Full height one-window section to the right, top floor window round-arched, 1st floor window plain. Tall passage door with plain pilasters, dentil cornice and entablature. 2 wreaths between top floor windows. Listed as part of a group. Nos 57 to 75 (odd), Nos 79 to 103 (odd) with No 2 Vickers Lane form a group. Listing NGR: TF3294887461
