EASTGATE 1. 1348 (North Side) Ye Olde Whyte Swanne Public House TF 38 NW 1/37 2.2.70. II GV 2. C17. Low 2-storey building, rendered. Pantile roof. 2 brick stacks, one modern. One sloped dormer, sliding sash with glazing bars. High plinth. One window on upper storey, sliding sash with glazing bars, 2 windows on ground floor, hung sashes with glazing bars, cornices, and 2 small pilastered flanking lights to 4-panel door, entablature. Yard entrance to right. Wood gable end. 2 windows to side, sliding sashes with glazing bars. Sign 'Founded 1612' Ye Olde Whyte Swanne Public House and No 47 form a group. Listing NGR: TF3289987442
