Abstract/Summary
Archive for a historic building survey undertaken at The Grove Farmhouse on Horsemoor Lane, Hemingby, prior to its demolition and replacement with a modern dwelling. The surveyed building was a mid-19th century two storey farmhouse in L-shape plan form constructed of red brick with yellow brick quoins and yellow brick string courses below window height on both storeys, under a pitched gabled tile roof. The west elevation has a central gabled porch flanked by two bay windows, which are decorated with stone corbels below the sills. The central brick of the porch arch opening is inscribed 'I.R.'. The porch is floored with decorative Mintons tiles and has a timber bench against each side wall. Two gable stacks, one ridge stack.
