The letters are: 16th Jan 1973 - letter from the Keeper, City & County Museum, to Mrs Burgess (Capt. Knocker's daughter); 9th Feb 1973 - reply from Mrs Burgess; 13th Feb 1973 - letter to Mrs Sacre (Mrs Burgess's sister); also letter dated 6th January 1973 from the Keeper, City & County Museum to Mrs Webster at the British Museum and her reply of 15th January; all letters relate to the whereabouts of the finds, which appear to remain lost; also a hand-drawn map which is unlabelled but may relate to this excavation; also a handwritten account (copy of article in The Antiquaries Journal Jan-April 1946?) describing this excavation and previous investigations, including Hossack - this article may by written by Capt. Knocker? (same handwriting as the map)
