Description

Includes two distinct groups of material: the first consists of letters to Ethel Rudkin from Ron Hossack and Jack Dew in 1935, describing their excavations and finds, along with maps and drawings (there are also photocopies of most of these) - however, later correspondance suggests that this group should contain more material eg notebooks; The second group consists of letters and replies, mostly dating from 1972-3 and c. 1979-1982, from staff at Lincoln Museum to various people including surviving members of the Hossack family attempting to trace the collection and then relating to the donation of the collection and the recovery of three of the missing brooches; also includes a handwritten article about the collection written by A.J. White following its donation to the museum; also includes list of the grave groups compiled from Hossack's notes (this lists also includes details of the Wallhead finds)
