Full Description
PRN 25673
A Wesleyan Chapel is indicated on the 1904 County Series map. The chapel opened in 1833 and is still in use as a Methodist chapel (2010). It is built of red brick with a hipped roof and has a pantile covering. It has been extended by one bay to the east. It appears to originally have had a broad three-bay front on the north side with a stone tablet inscribed 'Wesleyan Methodist Chapel 1833' set above a central doorway between flat-headed glazing bar sash windows. The windows on the south side have been replaced. The current entrance is on the east elevation. The round-arched doorway has a fan-light with radiating spokes. Attached is a gabled brick building with a slate roof currently in use as a domestic garage. An annexe in this position appears on the 1904 map. {1}{2}{3}
