Full Description

Second World War structures including a former pillbox, searchlight unit and air raid shelter, were located at Fields Farm. They were demolished by the farmer after the end of the war. The shelter was one of at least four, built in the Sutton Bridge area by a local builder. It was accessed by two flights of steps on opposite sides of the shelter, which led to an inner chamber, the walls of which were plastered. {1}
