This two storey stone house has a 17th century origin with a mid 18th century front elevation and an old slate roof. For the full description and the legal address of this listed building please refer to the appropriate List of Buildings of Special Architectural or Historic Interest. {1}
This house is mostly of mid 18th century date. The north gable and a kitchen wing were added around 1846 when the adjacent railway cutting was constructed. The interior has early 19th century fittings including a staircase and fireplace. In the north west angle of the house is a reset circular column or respond. There is also an early 12th century window head in the garden, and a probably 12th century arch set in the garden wall. {2}
