[Note - this house is referred to as no. 14 in the listing, however it is referred to by other sources including the RCHM survey as no. 13, and this better fits the map. The listing description fits no. 13 as shown on Google Streetview.]
This two storey house dates to the early 17th century and is constructed of ashlar stone. It has a two storey bay window with mullioned windows to each storey, and has a moulded eaves cornice with bolection moulding to the right hand section which is set back. It has been re-roofed in Welsh slate. For the full description and the legal address of this listed building please refer to the appropriate List of Buildings of Special Architectural or Historic Interest. {1}
This building, which was formerly the Wheatsheaf Inn, consists of an early 17th century timber framed rear wing and a late 17th century stone front range. The rear wing has a jetty on one side and a slightly later mullion-and-transom window. The front range has a two storey bay window with mullioned windows. Between the front room and the rear range is a staircase which replaces a former winding stair, the scar of which remains. {2}
