Full Description

PRN 38374 [Note - where there is confusion or discrepancy between sources regarding the date of a building, the Royal Commission survey (which is the most detailed and recent) has been taken as the most reliable.] This pair of houses were built in 1790 for the Earl of Exeter by the mason John Pearson. They are three storeys in height and built of coursed rubble with a symmetrical elevation. The interior fittings are plain and mostly of early 19th century date. {1} This building dates to the early 19th century [this is slightly incorrect - see above]. It is of similar build to the Municipal Offices opposite (PRN 37182) and has an early 20th century shop front. For the full description and the legal address of this listed building please refer to the appropriate List of Buildings of Special Architectural or Historic Interest. {2}
