This building has been much altered and the interior has been gutted, however it retains a roof of 17th century type. It has a modern extension to the south in 18th century style. The front has some 18th century elements as well as a modern garage entrance and partially timbered upper storey with workshop windows. This building includes the scant remains of a late 18th century coachmaker's workshop and an adjacent house built after the construction of a railway tunnel below the site in 1846-7. Repairs were carried out in the late 18th century. Elements of the late 18th century shop front survive. {2}
This building is now a garage and includes elements which may be by William Legg. {3}
