PRN 38254 [Note - where there is confusion or discrepancy between sources regarding the date of a building, the Royal Commission survey (which is the most detailed and recent) has been taken as the most reliable.] This house has a late medieval origin and was modernized in the 19th century. It was originally timber framed and has a first floor jetty facing the street, but has been partly rebuilt in stone. The 19th century additions include a ground floor bay window beneath the encased jetty, built around 1830, and a timber framed rear wing. The interior fittings are mostly early 19th century. {1} This two storey rendered house with attics is of 17th century date [this date is probably incorrect - see above]. It has a steep stone slate roof. The upper storey oversails and the ground floor has a bay window and an early 19th century door.
