[Note - where there is confusion or discrepancy between sources regarding the date of a building, the Royal Commission survey (which is the most detailed and recent) has been taken as the most reliable.]
This house has a late medieval origin and was modernized in the 19th century. It was originally timber framed and has a first floor jetty facing the street, but has been partly rebuilt in stone. The 19th century additions include a ground floor bay window beneath the encased jetty, built around 1830, and a timber framed rear wing. The interior fittings are mostly early 19th century. {1}
This two storey rendered house with attics is of 17th century date [this date is probably incorrect - see above]. It has a steep stone slate roof. The upper storey oversails and the ground floor has a bay window and an early 19th century door. For the full description and the legal address of this listed building please refer to the appropriate List of Buildings of Special Architectural or Historic Interest. {2}
