Full Description

A row of grade II listed cottages. There were originally seven, but now there are five cottages. They date from the late 17th century and were altered to form cottages as part of St. Martins Workhouse in the late 18th century. They are coursed limestone rubble and have a Collyweston slate and conrete tiled roof with a single red brick gable stack and three large stone ridge stacks. The absence of structural divisions of the roof between the cottages suggests conversion in late 18th century from a barn. For the full description of this listed building please refer to the National Heritage List for England. {1}
