Full Description

PRN 37678 [Note - where there is confusion or discrepancy between sources regarding the date of a building, the Royal Commission survey (which is the most detailed and recent) has been taken as the most reliable.] This timber framed house has a 17th century origin. It was originally two storeys in height but was heightened and refronted in coursed rubble in 1784. The new front matches the design of the adjoining houses. Scars of the original roof are visible internally. The ground floor has been gutted for a shop. {1} This house dates to the early 19th century [this is probably incorrect - see above] and is similar to nos. 31 to 39. It has a plain late 19th century shop front. For the full description and the legal address of this listed building please refer to the appropriate List of Buildings of Special Architectural or Historic Interest. {2}
