Full Description

PRN 37654 This two storey ashlar stone house dates to the early 18th century. The south elevation has a garden front with a two storey bay window. The interior has a good contemporary staircase. For the full description and the legal address of this listed building please refer to the appropriate List of Buildings of Special Architectural or Historic Interest. {1} This house has an ashlar street front and coursed rubble other walls. It dates to the early 18th century. It has a rainwater head inscribed 'EP 1723' which may relate to Elizabeth Lepla who bought the house in 1722. Extensive alterations including extensions were carried out in the early 19th century, possibly by R.S. Hurst Whitworth who bought the house in 1822. The interior has various 18th and early 19th century features including an early 18th century oak staircase. {2}
