PRN 37288 This later 18th century house is three storeys in height and is constructed of ashlar stone with a slate mansard roof. It has two flat-topped bow windows which are three storeys tall. For the full description and the legal address of this listed building please refer to the appropriate List of Buildings of Special Architectural or Historic Interest. {1} This house is described as being newly built in 1793, in the Stamford Mercury. It has vaulted cellars and its interior includes fluted pilasters and a plaster frieze. There are several carved stone fragments re-set in the yard which are probably from the workshop of John Hames (the tenant in 1793 was James Hames). {2}
