[Note - where there is confusion or discrepancy between sources regarding the date of a building, the Royal Commission survey (which is the most detailed and recent) has been taken as the most reliable.]
This house was built in the early 18th century, although the front was refaced and heightened in the early 19th century. The new front is of ashlar stone and has two-storey bay windows with Gothic style glazing bars. The side walsl are of coursed rubble. The interior retains a bolection moulded door architrave and a wooden ceiling cornice dating to around 1725, however the rest of the internal fittings are early 19th century. {1}
This three storey house is of late 18th century date with 17th century origins [these dates are probably incorrect - see above]. It is constructed of ashlar stone with Gothic style windows including some in two storey wooden bays and a plain Roman Doric style porch. For the full description and the legal address of this listed building please refer to the appropriate List of Buildings of Special Architectural or Historic Interest. {2}
