Full Description

PRN 37248 [Note - where there is confusion or discrepancy between sources regarding the date of a building, the Royal Commission survey (which is the most detailed and recent) has been taken as the most reliable.] This house consists of a main range which was rebuilt around 1830 and a 17th century rear wing. The upper part of the rear wing is timber framed and has a first floor jetty on the west which has been underbuilt in stone, although the ends of the joists are still visible. The cellar has a corbel and door jamb suggesting a late medieval date. The main house contains interior features dating from its rebuilding as well as a 17th century door in the attic. {1} This two storey house dates from the early 19th century [this date is probably incorrect - see above] and is built of coursed rubble with an old slate roof. It has two modern shop windows. {2}
