Full Description

Grade I listed stepped pathway, archway and section of Close wall, dating from the late 13th century, altered in the 14th century and restored and the archway renewed in the mid and late 20th century. They are dressed stone, brick and ashlar. There is an irregular stepped pathway which is approximately 80 metres long. There is a chamfered archway with hoodmould with a restored 19th century lamp on the bracket on the north side. To the right is a late 20th century brick retaining wall. To the left is a 14th century wall with gabled coping. The section of Close wall is with slab coping and intermediate buttresses extending westwards approximately 200 metres.
