Full Description

Two houses dated to the early 18th century, with later alterations, and extensive additions at the rear of No.25. They are built of coursed rubble and brick, with slate and plain tile roofs, and 3 gable and 2 ridge stacks. They have 2 storeys plus attics and 11 unequal bays, while the windows are mainly glazing bar sashes. Inside no.25 there is a resited mid 19th century Imperial staircase with twist balusters, in a full-height hall with linenfold panelling and a scissor braced roof. No.27 has an 18th century winder stair with stick balusters, and has a restored principal rafter roof with collars. {1}
