Full Description

The Jubilee Clock Tower dates from 1898. It has a gabled stone base and an octagonal tower of red brick banded with stone. The square section at the top is in stone and has four clock faces. The building has a pointed bronze roof and the stone base has an inscription and entry. For the full description and the legal address of this listed building please refer to the appropriate List of Buildings of Special Architectural or Historic Interest. {1} The Jubilee Clock Tower was built by Edmund Winter of Liverpool to mark Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee. Construction of the tower was complete by 1899, and it remains onfe of the town's most notable landmarks. It lies within the Skegness Esplanade, which has been designated together with the Tower Gardens as a Registered Park (see PRNs 45510 and 49558). {2}
