PRN 13953 The Primitive methodist chapel is still in use. There are 2 chapels abutting one another, one probably built in 1854 with the larger chapel adjoining it added in 1908. The earlier building is a small, low, gabled chapel of brownish red brick with 3 bays and square-headed openings. Buttresses have been added to the rear and a modern lean-to extension has been adde to the north. The original tablet is obscured by a gabled porch. The later chapel of 1908 abutts the south gable end of the original building. It has a raised gable (approximating a dutch gable style) with curved lower sides and stone copings and kneelers. The roof is covered by concrete tiles with a finial and decorated terracotta ridge tiles. The stepped buttresses have stone cappings.The large pointed window on the street frontage has multi-coloured stained glass in Art Nouveau style and stone window arch dressings with the date of 1908.There are 5 string courses of gault brick including 2 double rows. The south elevation has 3 bays of pointed windows with stone arches separated by pilasters. There are 6 foundation stones.{1}{2}{3}
