The former General Baptist chapel was built in 1825 and enlarged in 1839. It is now in use as a house named "Chapel House". It was not possible to verify the level of survival of the associated burial ground and its monuments during the site visit. The former associated Sunday School was built 100yds to the south in 1882 (TF 2862 3603). This building also survives and is now also in use as a house. The chapel is of 2 storeys, constructed of brick with a modern concrete tiled roof. The former Sunday School is constructed of red brick, with a string course of black brick, a hipped slate roof with overhanging eaves on pairs of brackets, segmental-headed windows and a date tablet of 1882.{1}{2}{3}{4}{5}{6}{7}
The chapel was converted to a house during 1973-74. {8}
In 2015 human remains were uncovered found by the owner while working at a deeper level than usual in the garden which is in the grounds of the old chapel. The bones were in what appeared to be a rotted coffin with fabric within. The coffin appeared to be under a brick layer. The site was described as an old bricked up tomb/burial chamber and the bones of a skull and pelvis. {9}
