Full Description

There is a small chapel on Wellington Street. It is considered to be of townscape interest by the Louth Conservation Area Appraisal. {1} The former Pentecostal chapel seems to have been first depicted on the 3rd edition 6" Ordnance Survey County Series map of 1947. It is not depicted on the 2nd edition 25" Ordnance Survey County Series map of 1906, suggesting it was built at some point between these two dates. The building is visible on Google Streetview imagery of 2009, but had been demolished by 2013 when the site was visited as part of the survey of nonconformist chapels. The building was single-storey andwas built of red brick with a pitched slate roof. {2}{3}
