It is a good example of this style of building of this period and survives with only a few changes to its original construction. {2}
The chapel was visited in 2010 and is still in use as Crowland Methodist Church. It was built in 1914 to replace an earlier Wesleyan chapel built in 1831-32. A surviving photograph of the earlier chapel shows that it had a pedimental gabled front, flat-headed windows and a round-headed doorway. It had a Sunday School alongside in similar style.{3}{4}{5}{6}
