Full Description

PRN 65206 From the outside a traditional form barn, but with a loft on one side of the central processing area, which was partitioned off to form a granary. The unthreshed corn and straw were stacked outside, where threshing took place. The ground floor was used for storing fodder - probably including oil cake - and for preparing it for distribution to the livestock.{1} Crow Lane Farm, Great Hale. Partially extant 19th century farmstead. Loose courtyard with three sides of the courtyard formed by working agricultural buildings. The farmhouse is detached from the main working complex. There has been significant loss (greater than 50%) of traditional buildings. Isolated location. Large modern sheds are located on the site. {2}
