Full Description

The old school building was constructed in 1845 and is in the Aswarby estate work style. {1} The schoolhouse was built by Sir Thomas Whichcote, the lord of the manor, for the benefit of the parish. {2}{3} The school master in 1856 was William Roe. {3} The building is of coursed stone, with ashlar quoins and window surrounds, under a pitched gabled slate roof. Coped gables. The bell gable is extant, though the bell and its apparatus have been removed. {4}
