A school is shown on the 1905 O.S. map. {1} Former school building. One and a half storey red brick building in Flemish Bond, under a pitched gabled roof of slate. Ashlar dressings. Dentil course at eaves height. The building has been extended to the rear with a new range and large porch. {2} There is no schoolmaster listed for Little Hale in 1856 and presumably the schoolmaster from Great Hale also taught here.
