Human remains were discovered during groundworks at 2A Thomas Street. Two members of the Built Environment Team of Lincolnshire County Council visited the site to confirm the presence and possible derivation of the human bone. The facial and temporal parts of a skull and part of a pelvis from a single, female adult skeleton were found. Although not in situ, the remains were thought to have come from a burial dating to the Romano-British or medieval period. The remains were also thought to relate to archaeological features recorded on the site (PRN 70464).{1}
