Full Description
Earthworks of a medieval ridge and furrow field system, to the south of Marshchapel. Identified on aerial photography examined as part of the National Mapping Programme. {1}
The earthworks were also observed on aerial photographs dated to 1971, analysed as part of the Lincolnshire Coastal Grazing Marsh project. {2}
An earthwork survey of the ridge and furrow was undertaken by Allen Archaeology Limited in November 2012. Probably medieval ridge and furrow was recorded in two orientations on the site; northeast to southwest and northwest to southeast. {3}{4}
