Full Description

23955 A Free Methodist chapel was recorded in 1856 in Gedney Dyke. It is constructed of rendered brick, a hipped slate roof and flat headed sash windows. When the building was visited (2001) the building was in very poor condition. It appears to have an associated graveyard. {1} The site was visited in 2010. The former chapel has been renovated and is now in use as a house. The slate roof has been renewed and velux windows have been inserted. The two bays of sash windows have been replaced in plastic and there is a lateral chimney stack. The round-headed doorway has a semi-circular light above. A grave slab can be seen set in the rear bay of the north-east elevation.{2}{3{4}
