Full Description
PRN 62379
Like several other mills in the county the builders of this tower mill in 1844 decided to utilize the earlier walls of a post mill roundhouse. It had four patent sails and worked until early 1938 by wind, losing its sails in 1939. There were two pairs of French stones and one pair of grey, plus a further two pairs which were engine driven. The upper part of the tower was removed in the 1960s and only the derelict two storeyed stump remains. {1}
