Full Description

PRN 62340 West Mill in Billinghay is located off Mill Lane in the western part of Billinghay. This tower mill was described as being 'newly erected' in 1806. Later in the century it was raised from five to seven storeys in height. It worked until early 1945 when the four remaining sails were taken down. There were six patent sails, driving two pairs of grey and one pair of French stones. It was reduced in height during the 1960s and the two storeyed stump is a store. {1}
