Full Description

62315 A Wesleyan Methodist Chapel was recorded on the Witham bank in 1856, and it appears to survive to the present. {1}{2} The chapel was visited in 2009. The present chapel was built in 1901 to supercede the previous chapel on the same site which was built in 1837. It closed in 1993 and has now been converted to use as a house. A modern porch has been added. The main building material is brick which has been painted and the dressings appear to be yellow gault brick painted cream. The gabled roof has a slate covering and a terracotta finial and ridge tiles. There are three stringcourses on the front gable elevation and a stilted lunette in the gable. There is a memorial brass of 1901. A probable Sunday School is attached.{3}{4}{5}{6}
