Full Description

The Church of St Andrew has a Decorated west tower, south transept and north aisle east window, but a Perpendicular chancel and south doorway. The three-bay north arcade, chancel arch and south chapel arch are all Perpendicular. The recut font is 14th century and has a drain. {1} The church is built of squared chalk, ironstone and limestone rubble with some brick patching, and has lead roofs. The lower two stages of the tower are chalk, while the third stage is ironstone. The south chapel contains a square piscina, while the chancel has a 14th century piscina and an aumbry.
